I remember exactly when I met Laura in the middle of nowhere in Bucharest, I didn’t really hunt for street style people because this area is really industrial you wouldn’t think people here put a lot of thoughts on fashion as it’s more about day to day survival. But I was proven wrong and when Laura came my way with her boyfriend, both looked very in style together. I asked them for some pictures. Unfortunately her boyfriend didn’t want to be on the pictures. Laura’s all black outfit looks so basic but not simple. It’s a truely chic outfit without any overload.

I have been sitting here creating this collage for quite a while and I need to apologise for the poor graphics, I don’t have photoshop available atm and have to put up with Picasa, even though I think Picasa is doing an ok job tbh, it doesn’t offer creative tools. I just visited Free People in a long time again and these are my favourite picks! All their stuff is so sweet, fun and girly, in a good sense. Everytime I pass by this shop it puts me in a jolly mood, their models and pictures have a very positive vibe – it’s all very hippy-esque and about enjoying your life and living in balance with yourself and planet. They have done a great job conveying that spirit.

Yesterday I passed by the Zara shopping window and had to stop and take this picture. I can only, or probably not, imagine what people were thinking of me taking pictures of a shopping window. On the other hand Zara obviously continues to introduce to it’s S/S 2010 collection to pieces in the style of Balmain. I do like the jackets though not a big fan of the t-shirts with holes – for any of you who are looking to give your outfit a bit of airing during the hot season – with a bit of DIY you can add a bit of unique touch of your own.

These days with winter knocking on our doors and temperature dropping below zero, looking fashionable can be a bit challenging. One way to beat the cold weather is to nestle up in lots and lots of layers of which you need to combine carefully as you might end up looking like a woolly sheep. The only thing I really dislike about travelling is that I need to organise my suitcase and put together a decent selection of clothes together that a) match together and b) are adequate to my destinations' weather situation. So there I am ending up spending what appears to me an endless amount of time with sorting out my travelling wardrobe. It just doesn’t get any better. If I could I would end up packing together my entire closet…but then we know that this doesn’t necessarily make things easier for me. So when reading that fashion director and creative consultant Anna Dello Russo packs up trunks of outfits for the fashion weeks, I’m relieved that a) I’m not her and b) I’m not her personal assistant.
