This one might seem to some you to be off-topic. Saying that for those in the know, with the current recession leaving its mark on fashion, there’s no doubt as to its relevance. Bette Davis, who is (quite obviously) my all time favourite actress (as well as the main inspiration behind my online persona), is definitely a great source of inspiration for myself and any of you interested in that sublime vintage look.
This is a cosmetics ad from 1951 when famous and glamorous movie star Bette Davis was the testimonial for Lustre Creme Shampoo. What really strikes me about this is that not only Bette, my favourite and, in my opinion the diva of the divas in moviebusiness, star looks ever so fabulous but that the topic of hairproducts back in the 50s until today has remained the same. Lustre shampoo promises to make that glorious difference in your hair for that glamorous look even todays women strive for.
