Karl the great in person shot the current Fall / Winter 2009/2010 campaign for Chanel. The scenery revolves around an old barn somewhere in the country. The protagonists of the scenery, models Heidi Mount and Freja Beha Erichson, are Chanel-esque country girls capturing the spirit of the 19th century. Chanel sticks to its black and white contrast look. Once again the campaign distinguishes itself through pure nostalgia and dreamingly romantic innocence. Whereas the motives are nothing surpringly new for Chanel the campaign glances through elegance and grace in a Chanel typical mannerism. I like it!
